Enjoyed your post! I have heard there were problems with cooling the 3.4l due to reduced (or lengthened) coolant passages. Interesting that they have decided to abandon the 3.4L. Also the V8 info was interesting. I still think BMW will eventually put the V8 in the E46 model M3+ or something like it to homologate it for racing as well as answer MB et all. Thanx for all the info!
