I'm upgrading from a slightly modified '97 Eclipse GS-T as well, so its good to hear that someone else is going from go kart to refined luxury/power. My car before that was a Nissan 240, so I've been longing to get rid of the plastic dashboard syndrome for a while. One quick question - why is it that you're removing all of your aftermarket stuff? Your car's not under warranty still and I'm asssuming the car will be more attractive with 300hp than 210. Just curious.

: This is my first post to this forum. I currently have a slightly modified (around 300hp 96 Eclipse Turbo) and have decided to buy a more refined vehicle. The Eclipse platform was great for upgrading (easy and cheap), but it is getting old and has alot of miles on it. I am currently in the process of removing aftermarket items and returning the car to stock specs. I will be putting my $500 deposit at Intercontinental BMW here in Houston. I talked to the BMW rep at the Houston Auto Show and he told me a few interesting things. He said the M3 would be a 3.4 liter around 340hp and base price would be around 42k-43k. He said even though the hp number here in the US is jumping up significantly, look at all of our other models. He said we are offering much more on the newer models and the base price is only increasing slightly, so why would we increase the base price so much on the M3. Something to think about.
