I think the auction thing is a B.S cover.
Both Claridges and Weatherford are also accepting deposits, and I already have one a Weatherford. The guy at Claridge said that the base is 45-50 but he will be selling the first couple at a 10K markup. At least he told it to me straight. But he was still willing to take a deposit on the early ones too, so I am not sure if only Allison and Stevens Creek have decided that they are going to capitalize on the craze for the car by holding auctions.
