Japanese cars aren't known for their off-the-line speed.

Sure, the 3000GT was 8 years ago. The 300ZX was 6. The Supra Twin Turbo was. The RX-7 was. The Skyline is.

But Japan doesn't produce any accelerating machines for the States anymore. Sure, you can tweak one to outperform a stock US M3 (the old ones), but likewise you can supercharge sed M3 to destroy the Japanese Import.

Look at the raw stats. M3s outperform the Japanese cars.
