CLK-430. A friend has a CLK-430 convertible and his wife has a coupe which I have driven some. Excellent build quality and very nice cars but doesn't have the edge of my '99 M3. It feels heavier, less handling feedback, etc...and my M3 is quicker. The CLK has a little more of that luxury feel.

Depends on what you want and when you want it. The 2001 M3 will blow it away as a driver's car.
