The main reason, IMO, why the E36 M3 LTW failed in the US was lack of A/C and inflated price of 25% over regular M3. They didn't just delete stuff, they reengineered some parts. In Europe A/C is not as much of a need as it is in the US (especially the US South).

I have heard this before (not related to cars, but I think it applies)..."cater to the masses not the asses."

It won't be coming to the US, so don't get your hopes up.
