I've bought two cars from Bellevue BMW. First purchase, M3, went fine. Second purchase, 540, was pretty bad. My wife became ill so I couldn't make my appointment to complete the purchase. They accussed me of all sorts of nasty things, by the salesman the sold me the M3, because I'd have to come another day! Really pissed me off. Then, two weeks ago they said they are adding $5 to all M5's so I bailed on that waiting list.
I'm trying Seattle BMW for the new M3.
: So, I did a little calling around today, trying to find out about the status of the wait lists at the Seattle area dealerships. Seattle BMW said their list was in the 40's, but the sales guy assured me that that would mean delivery around march or so. Northwest BMW said their list was only 18 long, but it would be a year FROM PRODUCTION START before they would get to me, i.e. Nov of 2001. Camp BMW in Spokane said their list was only 9 long, but the guy I talked to was clueless, and wanted to know what color I wanted, and what options. An interesting question, as we all know none of that info is available yet. Anyway, here is my question: does anybody know what is likely in terms of length of wait for the above numbers at each of these dealers? I'd be surprised if Seattle BMW could get me a car by March if I am number 44, but I would also be surprised if it took all the way until november '01 if I was only number 18 at Northwest. And I have no idea what to expect from the guys in Spokane. Any thoughts?
