about the E46 M3 engine being something special!!! It's the M5 that is really NOT special (just a big V8 liek anyone could make). At 50K the M3 will still be a bargain considering the cost and level of sophistication of the engine and it's overall performance. The M5 doesn't have a spare either...so I guess you won't be buying one of those either??? Look at the bright side: The US E36 M3 was cheap, even underpriced...BMW is fixing that problem with new one!!!!
