The E46 M3 is more of a progression of the M3 towards a pure sportscar....That is what I am buying it for...I have had a few cars without spare tires...I also like my cars without power seats..no sunroofs...no power windows...

There is a car out that matches the E30 M3's visceral appeal...it's called a Integra Type R...it is a wonderful car...I had one...loved it

BMW will sell a shitload of E46 M3's b/c they are going to be damn fine cars...BMW isn't building a car for you AK...they are building a car for me and the rest of us that put our money down...sorry if you don't like it...I'm going to love it...
