It is all speculation until BMW gives an idea of how many M3s they are going to import.

I am GUESSING that the probable number of M3s to come over in model year 2001 will be somewhere in the neighborhood of twice as many M5s as 2000 saw. IOW about 3000. Take the number of M5s your dealer got and double it. The dealer here (as I said before seels 200 cars/year) might have gotten one M5 so far (no more than that though). You might be waiting awhile.
