Computers are booming right now. The especially skilled are generally the kids that spent their high school years in a dark basement programming while everyone else had fun.
Well, sorry Eric, but those days will be over very soon. The kids in HS now all manage to learn technology and social skills. I consider myself one of them. I learned programming and dated the head cheerleader. I'm now a CompSci and English major, minoring in Business.
In 10 years there will no longer be room for the pouty computer Dink. Computer finesse will be common. And it is then that the dinks will be laid off in favor of employees of comparable knowledge and better refined social skills.
I just hope the JDSU correction the last few days hasn't hurt your interests too much.
And, for the record, I see nothing wrong with him making a few hundred (350 tops) on his spot. He had the foresight to reserve it, and doesn't need it now. Why not profit a bit, it's the American way. Then again, this guy's in Canada...
