After beating my friend to a pulp for insisting 3.4l, the info he coughed up is as follows:

All the stats on BMW.com are correct except one. The 0-62 time is actually closer to 5.0 .

There could actually be a 5 hp drop due to US regs. Speculation is it will be ok but could slip to 338.

Delivery will stay as I've posted earlier, October 2000.

Base price will come in just under $45k. ($44.9K)

Totally loaded will be $51K. That includes navagation.

I'll post anything else I find out.
