Damn, you guys take this issue too seriously, my view point is from a car nut view point. After drving my M5 around for a while, I was thinking how beautiful this V8 is "what if this motor was in the E46 M3, lighter (than my M5), better handling, great top speed!!" "running ahead of the next generation V8 C36 AMG and soon to be imported V8 RSI Jetta" I don't about what BMW Goupe has to pay back the Rover Group blab blab blab, I just want to dream. As for "how can't you not love the new I6 E46 M3 motor" well, I've got news for you, your "new" M3 motor is the same old basic euro E36 M3 engine, that's why there isn't a major price increase. I love my 95 M3 w/ 3.2L (yes 3.2L w/OBDI), but once you have a V8, you will never want to go back.
