Hi friends and fans of M3 E46.
I was at my local dealer today (BMW Calgary) and I
get info from my good friend salesman. They were for trai- ning in last few days at Vancouver B.C. and he handled me a document with following information about BMW models that will be imported to Canada in year 2000. Note: The dis- placement of M3 E46 is again 3.4 litres and no 3.2 too many times disscused.(maybe further development of new 3.0litres engine !!!???).

Info about models:

ti-
The 318ti is no longer being offered in the Canadian
market. As well,there are no plans to offer a 4 cylin-
der engine on any BMW model in Canada.


3 Series cabriolet-
The new 323i Ci cabriolet will be available in Canada
this spring. It will have a base price Can $51,500. A
328 model will not be offered in model year 2000.


3 Series touring-
The 3 touring will not be offered in the Canadian Mar-
ket. Yes, the US is offering touring a 323 model.


M3-
The M3 will be offered in Canada as a 2001 MY. Plans
are to have a uniform engine version for the world mar-
ket. The M3 cabriolet will not be offered in Canada as
a 2000 MY. There are no plans for an M3 sedan. The M3
engine will definitely be an in line 6 cylinder,with
expected displacement of 3.4litres and expected output
of 343bhp.


Xi-
An all wheel drive version of the 3 Series sedan has
been developed and is currently being considered for the
North American market. A final decision along with ti-
ming for availability has yet to be made.


New 6 cylinder engines-
A new family of 6 cylinders with more horsepower and mo-
re torque is being developed. Timing of availibility a-
cross all model lines is yet to be detemined.


5 Series-
The 5 Series is not scheduled to be redesigned until at
least 2002 MY which is the normal product life cycle
(6-7 years) for a BMW.


7 Series-
As with the 5 Series, the 7 Series is not scheduled to
be redesigned until at least 2002 MY.


X5-
With the new generation of engines, the X5 will be
offered with a 6 cylinder engine in 2nd Quarter of
2000.


Z8-
The Z8 is expected to be available in spring 2000. Pri-
cing has been set at Can $190,000.


Z9-
Concept car only.


M roadster-
We (BMW) can assume that the M roadster will have the
same engine as the new M3.


6 Series and X3-
Thees are simply car magazines rumours.


Mini-
The Mini will be brought to Canada. Price, timing and
distributon is to be determined.

that customers may ask them. And answers are what they now right now.
