: Hi,

: I'm on the waiting list for the upcoming BMW M3, and wanted to find out what your guys think about the competition. Which car would you choose? Thanks for you insight.

: Thanks,
: Ken

A few things come to mind, first, i'm surprised at others saying to get a Viper. It's all what you're looking for in a car. You should know by looking at your 2 cars you have now. First, the Viper: IMO, for the money, they are not worth it AT ALL. I drove one, fast as hell, but felt bulky and very loud to me. The interior was very cheap! For me, I am not gonna spend $70K on a car and feel like it's cheap inside, no way! Sure, it's the fastest car out there, but if that's all you want, go for it. Not to mention, a two-seater. A Porsche is a Porsche, very nice car, but expensive. I've heard(as i have not driven a 911) that it is not very comfortable as a daily driver. Well, that leaves the M3, IMO, the best bang for your buck. Roughly $20k cheaper than either of the other 2 cars, but a better handler, and just as fast as the 911, and not needed to be as fast as a Viper. Let's face it, how many times are you gonna NEED more than 340HP? Never, in reality. The M3 is the perfect balance between comfort, luxury, performance, and value. I agree with the other post, the Viper is a cheap, kit car with just RAW power, nothing more. To sum this up, get what's right for YOU.
