Oh pipe down children! The M3 is a great car. The Supra is a great car. The NSX is a great car. I've driven all 3 on the racetrack. I must admit the Supra and NSX in stock form are superior to the M3 on the track. But for all you lame-ass beginners, the Supra and NSX would be uncontrollable. I've seen too many wipe-outs on the racetrack because those 2 cars are like wild horses (same could be said for those pesky Vipers). M3s are very friendly and forgiving which is fine for a beginner. Once you learn the ropes, you might want to graduate to a higher level by a)modifying your M3 or b)get a better car (ie. Rx7, F360 Modena, etc...). Either route works to a better racing career. An expert in a stock Supra or NSX will trounce an expert in a stock M3 on a racetrack with many straightaways. A stock M3 will give any car trouble on a racetrack full of twisties...blahblahblah... So before you go talking smack about any car because some shithole magazine posts numbers and such, go to a racetrack and learn how to drive. Then you'll quickly and humbly realize yourself it's more about the driver than the car itself (ie. LeMans-winning BMW LMR beats Toyota (had a faster car), Mercedes (had a faster car), etc... b/c of car + driver; PTG M3 claims many victories over Job Porsches b/c of driver mainly - face it, those Porsches have a huge advantage). My racing instructor can drive a bone-stock Miata at the racetrack and will beat the living shit out of you novices in any car he/she so desires (ie. F355, 500-hp Supra, AA-turboed M3, Comptech NSX, Hennessy Viper, etc...). So my fucking point is, enjoy your car whatever the hell you drive and end this nonsense of "my car is faster than yours". Think your car is faster than Joe Schmoe's car b/c Road&Track says so, bullshit! I've seen my friend street-race his stock M3 and beats the shit out of less-experienced drivers in modified TT Supras, portnpolished Integras, etc... Instead of playing some stupid-ass numbers game, go play the real game instead....

: I dont seem to see alot of mention towards the king of japan, the 4th generation supra. I know alot of you guys now they are fast, but I dont think you really know how god awfully fast they can be with minimal amounts (or if you're crazy) huge amounts of money. 320hp 315lbs tq inline six twin sequential turbos 6 speed 0-60 4.8-5.3 1/4th 13.1-13.4 lateral G's on a skidpad .98 . The motor is capable of making sickening amounts of HP on a stock motor (camshafts being the only addition), so far the top "dawg" is making 851Rwhp which translates to over 1000hp @ flywheel on a stock bottom end. I know it isnt only about speed in a straight line, but for a road course this car is an animal. The car is discountinued , but there are alot of low mileage 98's that deserve a chance. The only other car I can think of is a GS300 or SC400 with a 2Jzgte motor swap from the supra and BPU (basic performance upgrade 400-430rwhp) the motor which would be a true performer.

: P.S. A supra out performs a skyline in every aspect, and the only thing a skyline has on a supra is AWD and alot of hype from people who havent driven it. Stock numbers say the supra abuses it.
