: There are also a LOT of riced out Supra's. I would by a Supra over an E36 M3, but I wouldn't consider it over the E46. Supra's will look very very dated in 5 years...just like the Supras before them.
: Skyline is and always will be the king of Japan. I've been to Tokyo. You see 10-15 Skylines for every one Supra. The top 2-3 modded Skylines are now putting out over 1400hp, and running 0-300km/h (0-183mph) in under 12 seconds ON STREET TIRES. That's while running mid 8's in the 1/4. Supra's are many steps behind.
Good points, BUT you fail to realize those 1400hp skylines have close to 80-90k and dont do anything BUT go straight. I also have videos of supras vs the (BPU) cars you named , but it is in the 1000m where its an even race, and 60-150+ pulls. The other cars would always get the jump (AWD) but like a reliable old dog the supra would reel them in and pass them, and the 60-150+ pulls were a joke the other cars didnt stand a chance. I live in NY, and supras arent a common sight. Those Skyline motors grenade and die at anything over 550hp on stock internals. When supras, currently the top ones are at 1000hp@flywheel (minus camshafts) on stock internals. The skyline tranny will also not hold up to that ,and I gurantee they go through axles like water. The fastest skyline runs at 8.86 on drag radials,but there is also a supra with well over 1000rwhp making a run Here in the US for 8's on radials with a full interior. Ben Blalocks silver supra ran a 9.98 @ 118 firing on 4 cylinders and going sideways through the traps ,and will be breaking into the 8's on radials. The skyline is a great car, but unless you have that 90k to fling around dont expect those numbers. By the way, I am talking total car performance...not just straightline thats all the skyline has on the supra (AWD).
