E46 M3 engine to be hand built? (archive)

Does anyone know if the E46 M3 engine will be hand built or not? I know that the E30 M3 and Euro E36 M3 engines were hand assembled, which is why they were so expensive to manufacture. The US E36 M3 engines and other BMW engines are not to save money, and I was just wondering if the E46 M3 will be the same.
