you don't wait for the M3. I was driving a '92 325is when the E36 M3 came out. At the time I refused to pay sticker for a car, so I waited until the demand subsided. After I got the M3 I realized what am idiot I was for waiting just to save negative amounts of money!!! See I could have had this wonderful car in '95 at sticker for about $37,500 (Sunroof and Cruise), but since I waited until the '96 MY the sticker price was $41,200 (same options) for the same car, so I ended paying $38,500 all the while driving another car that was out of warranty. I'm not waiting this time...if a better M3 comes out 18 months later, I'll take the financial lumps and trade up to it. It's not all about money, all of the time...sometimes you just have to do what makes you happy.
