I think it is unreal that a @ $54,000 3 Series built for the year 2001 is going to have a navigation system with a standard in-dash cassette and no chance/option of a factory single in-dash CD.

BMW AG: Please, spend a few engineering/design bucks and do something with the center area dash layout to give us a single CD in-dash/Navigation set-up before the model year 2007 changeover. Take a look at ALL the other manufacturers.

Also, I have installed a Pioneer system in my current E46 (which was NOT easy) and have 13 disc capacity.
I am sure most would agree that the changer unit should capacitate 12 discs or at least 10.... not 6.

Oh well, just venting here a bit in the hopes that BMW might actually consider giving us what we should have already had a couple of model years ago.
