Gentlemen,

I rode in a Cobra 'R' about a month ago and let me tell you. That car would definitely eat my E36 M3 for breakfast. I don't know how much improved the E46 M3 will be, but the Cobra 'R' would definitely give it a run for it's money. It handled and accelerated much better then the current M3. It also had better breaks, seats and the exhuast note. If you want a track car....the Cobra 'R' would be it...but as somebody already mentioned with no A/C, no back seat, no sound insulation, VERY low ground clearance etc.... it is in no way a daily driver like the M3 is. Therefore, if I would have the money I would definitely get the new E46 M3. Just my .02
