Hey DICKHEAD Im only informing you on what I was told. I did not say that was going to happen. reread post asshole.

"1st my info is from the BMW reps. I dont pretend to know more than anyone here. "

Im just as anxious to see the new M3 as you are and am just telling you fellow enthusiast the info i recieved.

: I can't believe (or even care to acknowledge) 99% of what is now being claimed.

: M3 mfg in US? What a joke.

: I don't recall Bruce (wherever he is) making any such claims about "another" motor. He did say a bit about a 3 compact that COULD have an M version ("very likely," his "source" said) but the understanding was this would use the successor motor to the 2.8, now the 3.0, not the M3 motor. There continues to be rumors in the auto press about this compact, which would be built on the new upcoming Z chassis, and therefore assembled in Spartanburg.

: Could it be your NY model didn't know anything anyway? Could she be repeating salesman rumors from around the show floor coffee pot or even just referring to the Mcoupe or M roadster? There is no assembly line in NC for the 3 series. I doubt there will be. It does not look like BMW could afford it, even if they do manage to dump Rover.

: (I reserve the right to alter my opinion if Ford or GM acquires BMW.)

: All above IMHO. Not "fact" gleaned from show girls.
