they aren't going to build enough, therefore the lease is definitely going to suck, my 95 leased out at $726 at that time- my buddy has a loaded 99 and pays like $550. Hot (popular) cars just lease like garbage, look at some of the MB's for example- the 00 Sclass has almost a 70% residual, but the lease is nothing to write home about (yes, the car itself is expensive)- but the lease should be lower for what the residual is (although, the interest rates aren't helping).

You are right, expect the new M3 (with just your taxes, first, bank fee, you already have a SD down, no cap red) to be approx $750-$800/ month for 36months- don't know options or retail yet, so thats the range I believe its going to be in (along with my dealer). Having the newest toy on the block, unfortunately costs an arm and a leg.

I lease myself, I like to switch cars frequently, plus if anything happens to the car (accident, etc)- I say to myself "at least I don't own it" (its a psychological thing).

No, I don't think a 330hp M3 is just a 3series- is it worth $700+ dollars a month to lease?- thats all subjective.
