M3 folks: old news for you, revelation for me. (archive)

i have an m coupe, but can't help but keep looking over my shoulder at the new m3. i was at the bookstore last night and read "BMW magazine", some british publication. they wrote a quick preview article with driving impressions!

they base the weight closer to 1600kg (3584lbs) and said that the torque peak at 4950rpms (or something like that) leaves a little to be desired. the article also did mention, as people have mentioned, that right now, BMW is concentrating on the luxo. model and then will after awhile intro. a stripped down model to solidly break 5seconds to 60mph.

the only reason i'm posting this here is because this is the first hard driving impressions anywhere and am questioning if this magazine has been accurate in the past?
