I keep hearing from a friend in BMW CCA that the E46 M3 will debut at very little above sticker price from the dealers... something about some "requirement" from BMW AG enforced on the dealers. However, I went to dinner about a week ago with an Assael (Southern California) dealer and he says most likely the M3 will be priced at "market price", a term I've seen mentioned here a couple of times. He said it could definitely push upward of $75K US. What are your experiences? I don't know much about M5 sales, and my CCA friend claims that all but only 2 Southern California dealers were selling it above invoice.

Sounds like my friend is smokin' something weird, if you guys can give your two cents... that'd be GREAT.

P.S.: ANY dealers accepting deposits? What about European Delivery on the E46 M3?
