Manager, the answer is 'no comment'. I asked him this question at the windy city bmwcca meeting on May 24th. Dealers have told me it would be spring 2001 for the convertible. But with the way things have been going with the new m3, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't know their plans for an automatic.
