: : East Bay BMW in Pleasanton has been treating me nicely so far, and I've heard a number of very good experiences with them. You'll get MSRP. Deposits are $1000. See their web site for info on how to get there. It's not that far from Silicon Valley really. Make a deposit now for a March delivery, or somewhat thereafter. Talk to Kerri Applebaum there, she's definitely worth seeing. ;-)

: The one at the Fremont AutoMall is Claridge's BMW. So far they aren't taking deposits on 2001 M3s and say they'll sell them at market value.
: Niello BMW up in Sacramento has a waiting list 30 deep and expect to get only a dozen M3s in the next year.
: I'm on Allison's waiting list and they won't guarantee MSRP, though they say the markup might be small and they might not run it up for previous customers - have to wait and see.
