I would drive toward the redline, push the clutch while easing on the gas, shifting, and stepping on the gas while releasing the clutch. The rev would sometimes dip 1k during this final process, and results in the rear wheels spinning.

: What do you define as a powershift? Leaving the gas floored while you put in the clutch, shift up, and then release the clutch again? And do you bounce off the rev-limiter or do you just approach redline before you shift?
