Luckily there was no passenger in the car at impact - I do not think one would have fared as well as Jeremy, who still needed surgery on his leg and foot. Oh well, in the end I am sure that he will be fine.
The car was a 1996 328is and did not have the side impact air bags. I do wonder if they really would have done any good for a passenger given the severity of the accident....
