If you seriously want an M3, get on a list, despite delivery times. Here is what I did: I ordered one from a mid-sized dealer in the Midwest that has only a few people ahead of me. I think they want to deliver me ASAP and have a vested interest in my patience. I hope to get one in the spring or summer of 2001 at the outside, but understand that one may show up early if someone cancells or the manufacturer grants an extra car, which sometimes happens.
