SMG in stop-and-go traffic? (archive)

Can anyone who's driven a car with SMG comment on what it's like in stop-and-go traffic? I have a hard time imagining that it would not be uncomfortable, assuming that it's either *in* gear or *out* of gear--no feathering the clutch. If it does somehow manage to be comfortable at extremely low speeds--how does it do that?

I know that the first M3's available in the US will not have SMG, but by the time they get to me (#45 on the list at a dealer who will sell at MSRP), maybe that will have changed.
