I've owned a couple vette's too. They're simply very fast cheap sporty land-yachts. Certainly no stealthness. Couldn't street-drive either vette with any speed...it was seen for miles. And both cars were unsafe on wet roads, back end would always spin around with no warning and both vettes had terrible brakes. I was glad to get away from the vettes into my current M3 which too has some real problems but at least it's safe to street-drive it at reasonably high speeds because of the M3s great handling and excellent brakes.

: I have owned 3 C-5'S, two automatic 98's and a 99 six-speed hardtop. Although they are better cars than they used to be, they still lack the sophistication and build quality of the BMW. The leather seats for instance use inferior quality leather that starts looking cracked after a short period of time. Other interior parts are not put together well. All in all the Corvette still needs refinement before it is truely great!!
