Dealing with trolls (archive)

There are two possible reasons for posting to this discussion board:

1. Exchange information on the new M3
2. Get attention from somebody, anybody

Anything not in category 1 has no place on this board. Trolls fall into category 2. Experience has shown that the most effective way to get rid of trollers is simply to ignore them. Usually what happens is that the moron^H^H^H^H^Htroller may try harder for a while, but eventually they'll go find another forum, where the participants are more responsive to their provocations. These people are obviously not that picky about what sort of attention they get, otherwise they'd find something more interesting to say. Flames/trolls are noise, and responses to noise are themselves noise. Let's keep to discussions and real information on the M3, ok?

Sorry for the off-topic post. I promise to take some pictures at Sears Point to atone for this off-topic excursion :-).
