Actually the Porsche and the M3 were right with each other until well over 2 hours has lapsed and the M3 passed and pulled away, so Iím not sure how much one can really infer from this contest. I only posted Stuckís comments because I thought they were funny.


Ummmm...what do you expext from a BMW backed driver? Get Real. Yes, the top "privateers" also get help from the factory so don't go posting he's not a "factory" driver.

Also, please don't compare race cars to mostly stock cars we drive on the street and/or amateur racing. There's a world of difference.

In my real world, I lapped one M3 and passed the other running in my class at the latest track event I went to in my 928GT. The E46 may finally give my 12 yo car a run for its money, but after 12 years and at $50K, I'd expect nothing less.

BTW, I, too, am very disapointed in Porsche's latest offerings. It seems like the other half of the Porsche family, the Piech's (Audi), are more interested in world class performance at a reasonable price lately.
