I made a big spreadsheet that estimates the dynocurves for the new M3, as well as mods on it, but I'm waiting for someone to offer to host the images (my server is down)

Overall, it looks like a Vortec supercharger running ~6psi of boost (The most that is safe without an aftercooler) would give you about 420hp @8000 rpm with a peak torque of ~310ft-lbs around 5000rpm, 0-60 would be around 4.4-4.5 or so, and 1/4 around 12.7 or so. if you ran a turbo, you would probably be able to get 250ft-lbs at 2500rpm, 350-400ft-lbs between 4&5000rpm, but dropping rapidly to 250-260 by redline, so peak hp would be about the same ~420-440 (that would be running 8-10psi of boost)

The problem is, because the rev range is so high, its tought to find a single turbo that can spool fast enough to give you the low-end grunt, but still manage the volume of air near redline (you run in the problems Audi turbos have, where the torque drops by 30+% between 4500 and 6500rpm)

Just some thoughts,
if anyone wants to host the graphs, I can email them out

Hey what's everyones feeling on installing a turbo or supercharger on a M3?
