Wow, the highest density huh! I surely must have missed it. I saw a lot of Porsches and maybe a couple of BMWs. Next time will keep eyes open. I have hung out around Bahnhofstrasse drunk on chocolate at Sprungli :)) !!! I stay in that hotel right opposite Sprungli (Savoy Baur en ville) and check out the watch shops to indulge in Pateks not Porsches (actually i do my buying elsewhere; I just do some watch talk and info gathering there - the chaps want to sell at MSRP (list price in case that is a US word for you). Must say across the river is quite a happening spot. Pity though, I have never taken time to go on a vacation just to Switz. though I have been on separate vacations in almost every other country close to Europe or even far from it.

Any mechanical Patek enthusiast boards like this BMW board that you know of? (of course I dont mean the Rolex kind of board - forget that).

Cheers.

98 E36 M3 (wife's - just bought at 14K miles)

considering E46 M3 as substitute for E46 328i or maybe will go for NEW M coupe as additional fun car. If I can afford/justify having the M coupe that is.

Hi Ran

I'm from Zurich.

Actually there are a lot of BMW's in Zurich Area ! I believe that we have the highest density of (european) M cars worldwide... it's the same for Porsches.

The pictures below have been taken on one of my road trips in Europe. These pictures are from south England (...thanks Tim !).

Give me a call / e-mail next time you are in Zurich. It's always good fun to meet fellow BMW enthusiasts.

Cheers from Zurich
Andreas

$2,900 for 8 months sounds like a good deal. Especially since the M is already sold, you better grab this one until your new M comes along.

I know of a few Porsche enthusiasts but did not see that many BMWs in and around Zurich etc. Will be looking real hard next time I am in Switzerland (Or is it htat the car gatherings are full of the Isuzus that I see in the picture - just kidding). Are you in the Geneva or Zurich area.

the 2.8 engine is not good enough for me but is a fine and refined engine - I prefer my wife's car - actually can you get a used M3 with a lot of miles. I liked my wife's M3 so much (bought used at 14K miles) that I can wait to exchange my 328 (bought new) now.

and considering either new M coupe as extra car OR new M3 to substitute 328i

It seams that I just sold my ///M Roadster. Huh... what a sad day !!! Can't wait to get my next "M" !

Till I take delivery of my E46 M3 (hopefully asap...) I need a spare car. My dealer told me that he could give me a 98' BMW 528i, Cosmosblack, fully equipped incl. Leather, Xenon, on-board Phone and all options one can imagine...

I have to buy the car but my dealer will buy it back from me for a fixed price when my new M3 is ready for delivery. Like this, it would only cost $2'900 for 8 month ! I believe this sounds like a very good deal. What's your opinion... "go" or "no go" ???

But let's not forget 3 years of pure fun excitement and pleasure with my Euro ///M Roadster. I still love this car... what an amazing powerful machine ! I'd love to keep it but unfortunately I need more space and especially more than 2 seats. On the other hand I don't want 2 cars again. I was perfectly happy with one car. I'll miss these days of freedom... Oh no - I think I'm getting older *grin* !
