I think all late model BMW's have 50 state emissions. I have a 1996 328iC which I bought in Atlanta and drove to California three years ago. I had no problems getting a smog cert. However, I don't think that you can buy a new car out of state and bring it into California, unless the car has at least 7500 miles on the odometer.

My question is are the emissions the same for all E46 M3 or is Cali and New York, etc going to be different. This then relates to getting a car like from Phoenix and shipping it to LA. Will there be problems with emissions?
