According to Tom Salkowsky, BMW m brand manager for BMWNA, as quoted in the covery story "M Stands for Muscular" in the latest issue of BMW Magazine (p. 24, next to last paragraph).

He referred to the color as Laguna Seca Blue, "a cool blue".

I wonder if he knows folks on this list have so far been "cool" (as in uninterested or turned off) to this color blue. Maybe it will look better when we actually see one in person.
