the Viper was leased- GMAC just signed over the car to the buyer- who just sent in a check for the buyout figure, so the title would be sent to him instead of my friend.

Its just annoying that BMW won't do the same thing. Even though the contract is with me, they should allow anybody to buyout the car and have the title sent to them- money is money.

I am going to try and speak to someone of a higher level at BMW financial services- on whether I can either have the car "completely" out of my name and transferred to the buyer (lease takeover)- relieving me of default responsibility, most likely wishful thinking. Or to allow the buyer to send in a buyout check with my account info, and have the title sent to them. I shouldn't have to buy the car myself, and then sell it to another party- not an unreasonable request, other companies apparantly seem do it with no problem. That is the key though, "other companies"

This guy will takeover the lease, buyout the car whatever- he's open.

Anyhow, sorry for the rant. Appreciate the comments.
