All I have to worry about myself and my dog. He hardly never rides in my car the way it is. Quarter mile times don't worry me much. It's the total package I'm looking at. And I'm willing to spend 50k on a M3 if I want one. I also understand a Vette will have a higher top speed. I'm looking for which vehicle will have the highest fun factor and then hold it'value, reliable, etc. I have a 99 Mustang Cobra currently and can't wait to get into a true performance vehicle. I do a lot of around the town and highway driving. I guess I'm looking for something with enough torque to put a grin on my face at the start and then again I put around 20k miles a year on a car and don't want reliability and road noise to kill me. Most of the trips I make are 4 to 5 hrs long one way, and a few 16 hr drives to Florida once in a while if I don't fly.

My co-workers most of which are 32+ married, etc tell me to go BMW because it's classy and reliable.

Then everyone else tells me to go with the Vette.

I call the old man and he says you can buy a Vette now, but when you get married a Vette is a no go and you might be able to get the BMW most likely.
