Lemans M3...6speed manual? The AudioR8 SMG type? (archive)

Anyone see the M3 at the race...looks like it had the 6 speed manual, no SMG. The Panoz and the R8 looked like they were shifting up and down only with a SMG type shifter...anyone know? I also saw it on TV and the engine sound between the shifts on the SMG....were to say theleast VERY QUICK. Pretty much unnoticable.
