It should be out spring of next year, even with the production delays. The waiting lists are also much shorter than for the coupes. You will lose some performance (i.e. -0.2 seconds off of your 0-60 times, and more body flex), but who really cares about such minor differences if you are not actually racing the car. It just depends on your priorities.
That way you can have a convertible that will kick the shit out of the CLK 430 Cab. for the same price.(assuming you can get a 430 cab. for sticker) It will also look alot better. In addition, it is less expensive than the others in your group with a better fun factor. (drop top, six-speed, handling)
Good luck with your decision. I feel bad for you. My decision is what organ am I going to have to sell to get my M3 convertible.

I'm a lucky bastard as I am among the first 5 people in the UK to take delivery of the M3 Cab, not sure what colour though.
What do you reckon on Carbon Black (M5 Colour) with natural modena or perhaps buffalo hide ?
