FYI, I've been following the Impreza WRX for a while now. The one we get is a real WRX, not a detuned one. It will most likely have about 220hp. There are many versions of the current Impreza. The base turbo model is the WRX, with slightly about 220hp depending on the country. Its also known as the Impreza Turbo, and Impreza GT in Europe and Austrailia. The versions of the car that have upwards of 280hp or more are the tuned WRX models(ie, WRX STI various versions, P1, and others). Long story short, people think we're getting a detuned version, we're not. We just won't get treated to the more exotic tuned versions. The cool thing is that the WRX we get has the same engine as all the higher models(exept 22B), so it can make 280hp or more with some slight modifications.

Oh yea, and the car should be here around Apr/May of 2001 as a 2002 model. Its being released sooner in Europe and Japan. We already have pics of it, many won't like the design, I personally do. Here's a picture of a real deal. It has been edited in one sense, someone added the gold wheels. It had silver ones before, but the link to the original is dead. I know its real because its from Subaru's own website. They were running a test page that had not links to it. It was public access, but not public knowledge. Don't ask how I got the address to it. Subaru caught on to the fact that people were getting on the test page and they closed outside access to it.
