You basically called all of stupid for buying the first year's M3. Well, how sorry are the people buying 330Ci's? They don't appear to have any problems. The e46's seem to be well designed and well made. The biggest problem so far has been the oil filters don't last 15K mi. So, BMW changed them. Also, if you keep waiting, there will always be something better on the horizon (new Acura NSX, or possibly Nissan Z) to prevent you from buying now. You do know that if you don't buy, you don't enjoy.


I did not mean in the least to insult anyone for purchasing an M3 now. It will be a great car. My Point was simply that I got flamed off this board by SUGGESTING that it may be wise to wait a few years until they improve the vehicle.

IT will be a great car immediately, just didn't appreciate the flames which are apparently more typical than I would have hoped from all of us that own BMW vehicles.
