There is definately going o be a significant power upgradea after the first year of production, just like the case of the 1995 e36 M3. I wouldn' want to spend all that money and not have the fastest model for the buck. If I were you al I would wait a year and see what happens.
In the USA the upgrade in power was inconsequential from 95-96 as in 3.0-3.2l and in Europe the e36 M3 was out since 93 and that was the 3.0l, the upgrade for that car was not done untill 96 so that was three years later. Get facts straight man then come preching.
Inconsequential? Sure, OBDI engines are 'easier' to tune. However, most of the car mags had the 3.0l doing 0-60 in 6 seconds flat...Most of the same mags had the 3.2l in the 5.5 - 5.7 range. To me, that's not inconsequential....and you can be damn sure if you were the one being passed on the litre volume parade, you wouldnt be too happy either.
