IS300, with the longer 2JZ-GE, half of the engine is over the axle and besides it's iron cast which means more weight compared with BMW's alloy I6. In my opinion, the Toyota Altezza would perform much better than the IS300. The 3S-GE is shorter, so more of the engine's weight is behind the axle.

IS300 Vs. BMW330 =
Iron Cast Vs. All Alloy
1/2 of the engine in front of the axle Vs. 50/50 weight distribution

The design itself tells the whole story but if I were to work for Lexus, since the commercial can not be proven anyway, I'd be saying things like;
Lexus IS300.... beats Ferrari F50.... on both wet and dry surfaces.... slalom.... 0-100 time.... test drive it today at your local Lexus dealer....
