The scan didn't come out the best... the pic is most likely of the 18" wheels, but you don't see the entire wheel well due to lighting (slight lip after the curve above the rim), nor the entire tire. As you can tell from most other pics, the 18" wheels do fit nicely.

Because if they are, we'll need to get 22" wheels to fill those wheel wells (or lower the car 5").

Well, here they are... I didn't scan the article, which is not really that detailed, it simply says the new M3 is an amazing car, inspirational and essentially a comeback for the M cars, initiated by the new M5... interestingly enough, it says it will be much better than the e36, even though this is a euro mag, and as such, is comparing it to the euro 321-bhp model... :-)
