That's a great car and you're lucky to own one. My father, a Porsche fantatic, once owned a 928 convertible, one of the very few known to exist. It sold at auction for a lot more than a regular 928 even though it could not outperform a regular 928 becuase of the added weight and chasis flex. But the more rare a car, the more desireable generally it is. That's true not just of cars. If you have the Porsche you should acknowledge my point. It's performance gives it some value, but is rarity gives it much more.

There will only be 400 Z8's made for the US this year. The fact that people are selling them at way over MSRP proves my point about value. Obviously they don't care that the Z06 may be x tenths faster. They want it. And as great as the 996TT is, it's not a convertable, and like the Z06, it is based on a more common platform.

You asked if we M3 buyers cared about the R&T test results and I gave you an honest answer. I like the Z06, but I prefer to own an M3. I don't think the M3 will outperform a Z06 but I think it will compare very well with the normal C5. What's with the attitude?
