The LSB tends to blend the lines together, like the power dome. The PD was not readily obvious, and you might even not notice it if you didn't know what to look for. Maybe it was the lighting. This car was an American version and had no headlamp washers, no X-drilled rotors, no sun/moon roof, 18" wheels, lip spoiler, wood interior trim, grey leather, oil temp gauge, looks like 60/40 split rear seats, and no shark-fin (of any kind) on the top deck.
The car was roped off (but I was crawling underneath to get a good view of the brakes, exhaust, etc.) and it was locked. The hood wasn't even open! The wheel wells are HUGE ( I stuck my hand all around to feel the clearances) and should fit all kinds of fatter meat - if wanted! Also, this car had xenons but after tapping on them, I was disappointed to see that the headlamp covers were plastic! Is this how they are on the E46 3 series? Also, the side gills are definitely OPEN for venturi flow cooling.
The (very attractive!) ladies working the BMW booth, who grew sick of me and my many questions, claimed that the car was delivered via truck and that there were no keys to open it up. Two of the lovelies have driven the car (at BMWNA HQ in NJ) and (once again, despite some stupid rumor) said that the exhaust note is VERY SWEEET!! Nice eye candy, besides the M3, but they couldn't field most of my questions. I did come away with a handful of the M3 posters!!
Other items of interest, they had all the usual BMW's and a nice Avus Blue M5 (that WAS open to climb around!!) and a black Z8 that was roped off and rotating around.
After my long study session (unfortunately of only the exterior!), I should be able to field any questions.
VDRZANE,
Bryan
