I saw the article similarly. This sounds alot like the Porsche 996 controversy - heavier, more luxurious, softer, more GT like, yet much easier handling for the average driver, faster, better brakes and better times on the Nuerburgring than the car it replaced. Perhaps a more competent car, but not necessarily btter in some people's eyes because it lost it's "raw edge". BTW, I don't agree, I don't think more speed or better handling can ever too tame. BTW Steve anyone in your family named Jamie?
